Changing Direction Community Food Pantry
Notes:
We are a relatively new, small, non-denominational Christian Church that focuses on sharing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through fellowship and community outreach. We operate a Faith-based community food pantry directly out of our fellowship location, on the second floor. We believe feeding the body is just as important as feeding the soul, and anyone needing food assistance is welcome, regardless of religious affiliation, income, or any other restrictions. Our food pantry relies completely upon the contributions and donations of our current church members and other private individuals, and proceeds generated through local food drives. Our food pantry is always in need of basic food staples (such as breads, pastas, rice, beans, cereals, flour, sugar, et.) and other non-perishable food items (instant potatoes, powdered milk, juices, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats, eggs, snack items, et.) that are packaged to hold a shelf-life of longer sustainability to benefit the families receiving assistance. There is a particularly special need for food donations during the holiday seasons, as our food pantry tries to provide those seeking assistance with food items designed to help create special holiday-style meals, such as frozen hams and turkeys, frozen pies, fresh fruits and produce, as well as other traditional holiday food items. The holiday-style food items are provided in addition to the standard food items that we regularly distribute. For any other information regarding our Food Pantry, it's vision, or how you can help us to continue to feed those in need, please contact Rev. Ike Walker, Jr.; Senior Pastor of Changing Direction Community Outreach Ministry
