SOME is a non-profit organization that provides relief services to homeless and low-income families and individuals in the D.C. area. Our goal is to restore hope, dignity, self-respect and independence to our clients through a wide range of services, such as daily meals at our Dining Room and emergency groceries from our food pantry; medical and dental services as well as long-term addiction programs; single occupancy and family housing and employment training. Donated produce and canned goods goes to our food pantry, which our clients utilize on a monthly basis to supplement or fill their own pantries; fresh produce is particularly valuable, as many of the families cannot afford to buy fresh fruits and vegetables.
