MISSION STATEMENT:
<p>OUR MISSION</p>
<p style="margin-left:.25in">The Northeast Emergency Food Program (NEFP) meets the urgent food and clothing needs of our Portland Metro neighbors while working to develop community solutions to food and economic security, through:</p>
<ul>
<li>Securing access to adequate and healthy food.</li>
<li>Building a more secure safety net.</li>
<li>Providing job and service leadership training.</li>
<li>Working for improved job and economic opportunity.</li>
</ul>
<p style="margin-left:.25in"><a name="OLE_LINK4"></a><a name="OLE_LINK3">We provide:</a></p>
<ul>
<li>Three to five days worth of emergency food for each person in need.</li>
<li>Fresh produce, dairy and meat.</li>
<li>Gently used clothing for the whole family.</li>
<li>A sense of community for both clients and volunteers.</li>
<li>Resources for employment, nutrition, gardening and community events.</li>
