<p>We are an all volunteer organization.</p> <p>Good Worx Inc. is a local nonprofit working to engage the community in social issues impacting us all - both locally and globally.</p> <p>We&#39;ve been working the past 14&nbsp;years, first as the local youth service organization Kids4Good, to involve and engage local families in direct impact service initiatives.</p> <p>Since 2015, we&#39;ve been working to raise awareness about the troubling food gaps in our community and the fact that countless families/neighbors are struggling with food insecurity. &nbsp;In our immediate area the numbers are around 40% of families experiencing some type of food insecurity and the numbers are higher in surrounding areas with numbers closer to 75 and 80%.</p> <p>We started our Sunny Patch Community Growing Project in the summer of 2015 to raise awareness about food insecurity and begin working with some of our at-risk families to provide growing space for them to start small garden patches for themselves or their families.</p> <p>To date we&#39;ve grown, shared, harvested and rescued over 6,500 pounds of fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and eggs for our small network of families and local food pantries.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
