How do I receive a meal? You can receive Meals on Wheels by calling 503-364-2856. We will sign you up over the phone and you can start receiving your meals within 1 – 2 days. When are meals available? Volunteers deliver a nutritious daily meal between 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with the option of having frozen meals delivered on Fridays for the weekend. Lunch is usually served Monday through Friday, 11a.m. – 1p.m. at our dining room at Center 50+, located at 2615 Portland Rd. NE in Salem, but this is temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions. Where are meals available? Meals on Wheels delivers to anyone living in Salem and Keizer. If you live outside of Salem and Keizer, please contact Northwest Senior and Disability Services at 1-800-469-8772. What is in a meal? All of our meals include a hot main dish, vegetables, salad, a roll, and a dessert. Some favorite meals include lasagna florentine, turkey enchiladas, szechuan beef, and barbecue chicken. All meals are created by our very own team of chefs and culinary specialists.
