Food Bank Of South Central Michigan
MISSION STATEMENT:

Our MISSION is to feed hungry people by collecting and distributing food and grocery products, advocating for hunger-relief programs and collaborating with others who address basic human needs.

What started out as a small group of people with a singular purpose has grown into an organization that reaches over 189,300 people each year through a hunger-relief network of more than 285 partner agencies operating in eight counties in south central Michigan. Individuals in Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Hillsdale, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lenawee and St. Joseph counties receive food, other grocery products, nutrition education, help with other resources and most of all hope.

We are members of Feeding America, a national organization supporting more than 200 food banks across the country, and the largest domestic hunger relief agency in the United States. We are also members of the Food Bank Council of Michigan who partners with farmers, non-profits, foundations, corporations, government and individuals in order to support the work of the seven regional food banks in Michigan and improve access to healthy food for all those in need in all 83 counties in Michigan.

Our service area includes eight counties and totals 5,007 square miles. Our communities include both urban and rural areas.
