The Volunteer Way, Inc.
MISSION STATEMENT:
<p>To assist all people caught in poverty with food and personal items. Assist people caught in poverty in getting back into the main stream of socciety and be able to feed their families.</p>
Notes:
The Volunteer Way, Inc. is a food bank that distributes food to forty food pantries. We are also a food pantry that assists 3500 families each month with a box of food for their families. Our soup kitchen is located in one of the poorist areas, we feed a hot meal to and average of 250 homeless and unemployes, we also have showers, hair-cuts and laundry service. Our mobile food pantry assists 350 families that are located in food deserts that are isolated from public transportation. Our Brown Bag program delivers food and personal items to low-income homebound elderly each month. We also have an hydroponic farm and ad edible landscape. We average 23,000 families each month that we assist wiyh food. All our services are free of any fees.
